Database MDAC, JET corrupt
Solution
Symptom: when you run ChoiceMail, your POP3 accounts have disappeared - and there are no senders in any of your lists. You try to put your POP3 accounts back in but they get lost again. You may be receiving strange errors popping up and inability to start the ChoiceMail service
Solution: it's quite possible that your database subsystem has gotten corrupted.
For Windows XP(SP1) and older
You should re-install MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Compoenents) and JET compoenents.
Both can be downloaded from the microsoft site. Make sure you download for your operating system. MDAC and JET downloads can be found here
http://msdn.microsoft.com/data/downloads/updates/default.aspx
For Windows XP(SP2) and newer
1) Locate the mdac.inf file in c:\windows\inf folder or the appropriate windows folder for your system.
2) Right click on that file and select "Install"
3) When prompted for a location, select c:windowsservicepackfilesi386 (or c:\program files\Common Files\System\msadc)
4) When promtped for the XP CD, either load the CD (select the i386 subfolder - D:\i386 for example) or select c:\i386 This should reinstall / repair MDAC on Windows XP (SP2).
Alternative to this method is to
1) Uninstall SP2
2) Apply the suggestion for non SP2 users
3) Re-install SP2
Please note that none of these problems are related to ChoiceMail. These are issues connected to your database subsystem which is part of your operating system. these suggestions, but are not guaranteed to work.
